Our Sunraz™ FFKM O-rings have a wide temperature range, chemical resistance in various harsh applications, and a long service life. These are high-performance sealing rings constructed of perfluoroelastomer rubber. FFKM is also very resistant to extreme temperatures (-10°C to +260°C). Some FFKM compounds can work above 330°C.
FFKM and PTFE have similar chemical and thermal resistance. It combines the advantages of a PTFE O-ring with the elastic qualities of an FKM O-ring.
Famous Trade names for FFKM
For FFKM, there are many renowned brands and trade names. Examples include DuPont™ Kalrez®, Chemraz®, PERFREZ®, Tecnoflon®, Simriz®, and Perlast®.
Kalrez®
The original and most renowned brand of FFKM (perfluoroelastomer) is Kalrez®, developed by DuPont. Kalrez® is the most famous FFKM in the world and widely used.
Chemraz®
Chemraz® is developed by Greene Tweed, known for extreme oilfield and harsh chemical sealing. O-rings, gaskets, and seals in demanding, highly corrosive environments like semiconductor manufacturing, oil and gas, and aerospace often use it.
PERFREZ®
PERFREZ® is a premier brand of FFKM custom sealing components manufactured by Applied Seals Co., Ltd. It is designed for extreme industrial environments and provides excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability, making it a cost-effective, high-quality alternative to brands like Kalrez® or Chemraz®.
Tecnoflon®
Tecnoflon® FFKM perfluoroelastomer seals offer the greatest quantities of performance of all FFKM elastomers. It is from the Syensqo company (a spin-off from Solvay).
Simriz®
By Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, noted for high-temperature and semiconductor-grade applications.
Perlast®
By Precision Polymer Engineering, which is widely used in demanding environments.
Advantages
The FFKM O-Rings provide the highest level of chemical and thermal resistance available in elastomer sealing materials. Their durability, low compression set and performance under extreme conditions make them a reliable choice for demanding industries. They are well-suited for use in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals and semiconductor manufacturing.
