G-7 is one of the highest-rated NEMA laminates for heat. It has a continuous operating temperature rating of 220°C.

Superior Arc and Flame Resistance
The silicone resin matrix gives G-7 excellent arc-tracking resistance and self-extinguishing flame properties, usually meeting UL 94V-0 standards.
Mechanical Strength
At room temperature, G-7 is mechanically weaker and more brittle than epoxy glass grades like G-10 or FR4. However, it retains its strength much better at high temperatures, outperforming other materials once heat crosses 400°F.
