G11 Glass Epoxy Tube

We can see that G11 tubes are often used for bolts’ protection. Also for a flange insulation gasket kit.

Welcome to Learning about G11 Glass Epoxy Tube

The G11 glass epoxy tube is a high-performance insulation material made from fibreglass and heat-resistant epoxy resin. It is specifically engineered to maintain exceptional mechanical strength and superior electrical insulation under continuous high temperatures.

There are two types of G11 glass epoxy. Applications in Class H are made to function at temperatures as high as 180°C. Class F applications are meant for temperatures as high as 150°C.

G11 vs. G10 vs. FR4

Below we can see the difference with G11, G10 and FR4.

G10: Rated for lower temperatures (130°C). They soften and lose significant strength when heated.
FR4: Essentially flame-retardant G10. They share the same 130°C thermal limitation.
G11: Upgraded for high-heat environments (155°C). They retain their structural integrity where G10/FR4 fail.
