Is Mylar® the Same as Polyester?
The answer is yes. Mylar® is the brand name of polyester film created by DuPont Teijin Films.
Mylar® polyester is an exceptionally strong, durable, transparent film with high tensile, tear, and impact strength. It is moisture- and vapor-resistant and does not transmit oils, greases, and volatile aromatics. It was first developed in the mid-1950s by DuPont.
